Digital Content Transformation

The Digital Content Transformation Strand takes an algorithmic perspective to focus on enabling content to flow freely across different languages, cultures, and modalities. In particular it will provide a step-change in the analysis, transformation, and generation of digital content across and between modalities.

ADAPT’s primary focus on content and the distinction between content and machine-readable forms, leads to a natural structuring of DCT research into three challenges:

  1.   Analysing Digital Content: The objective of this challenge is to push the boundaries in the analysis and modeling of all varieties of digital content (written, spoken, image and video) and to investigate the extent to which AI models can not only model but also explain digital Content.
  2.   Transforming Digital Content: The objective of this challenge is to generate digital content that allows users to seamlessly interact and engage with others and with online content, and understand the functioning of sophisticated AI models.
  3.   Generating Digital Content: The objective of this challenge is to transform digital content into a form useful to the user, whether within a single modality or across multiple modalities.
