Dr. Mohammed Hasanuzzaman is a Lecturer at the Department of Computer Science, Cork Institute of Technology (Munster Technological University), Ireland.

Mohammed earned his doctorate degree from the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) Lab hosted at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Ingénieurs de Caen – ENSICAEN and University of Caen Normandie, France. His research interests and activities over the past 8 years have been in Natural Language Processing (NLP), especially Temporal Information Extraction, Machine Translation, Psycholinguistics, Social Media Analytics and Machine Learning (Deep Learning) applications to NLP and e-health domain. He has published papers in a range of highly respected conferences and journals including Nature, PLOSOne, IEEE Intelligent Systems, IEEE Transactions on Affective Computing, ACM Transactions on Knowledge Discovery from Data, ACL, SIGIR, NAACL, COLING, EACL, CoNLL, Hypertext, ECAI, ECIR and ESWC. He is involved in several European and National projects as PI/Co-PI such as WARIFA, STOP, ITFLOWS, SuPRiM, and MOVES-Monitoring Virtual Crowds in Smart Cities. Dr Mohammed is recipient of several awards such as the French Ministry of Superior Education and Research Fellowship, Government of France for his doctoral studies, Erasmus+ staff mobility for teaching and training and Dublin City University’s INVENT Award for Engagement with Business/Industry for the year 2018. He was involved in many international conferences such as ACL, NAACL, COLING, EACL and organized workshops in leading conferences such as CIKM and TPDL. He is a member of Association of Computational Linguistics and Association of Computing Machinery.
