VOICES Project Featured at Tudor & Stuart Ireland Conference

17 August 2026

The VOICES project was featured at the annual Tudor & Stuart Ireland Interdisciplinary Conference, which took place at Trinity College Dublin on 13th and 14th August 2026. The conference brought together established academics, early career researchers, independent scholars and postgraduate students from Ireland and around the world to share new research in history, literature, archaeology, art history and related disciplines.

During the event, members of the VOICES team discussed the project’s ongoing work to recover and examine the experiences of ordinary, non-elite women in early modern Ireland. VOICES is a five-year European Research Council (ERC) Advanced Grant project led by Professor Jane Ohlmeyer. Hosted by Trinity College Dublin, the project aims to uncover women’s voices and lived experiences during a transformative period in Irish history, while placing Ireland within wider British, European and Atlantic contexts.
