The TRANSMIXR project, a Horizon Europe initiative led by the Technological University of the Shannon (TUS), recently participated in the IEEE VR Conference, the premiere international gathering for Virtual Reality (VR) and 3D User Interfaces. Spearheaded by Dr. Niall Murray of TUS and the ADAPT Centre, TRANSMIXR joined nearly 170 poster presenters and 40 XR demo teams in sharing cutting-edge research with a global audience of around 1,000 attendees.
Held annually, the IEEE VR Conference serves as a hub for the world’s foremost VR, AR, and MR researchers and industry experts. This year, TRANSMIXR’s presence highlighted its mission to revolutionise immersive technologies, particularly in the field of volumetric social and collaborative XR applications. Representatives from TUS and Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica (CWI) presented their joint research with additional support from partners such as Immersion, who participated as event sponsors.
