20 February 2026

The Korean Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI) hosted visiting researchers from Ireland as part of efforts to expand international collaboration in science and technology.

Prof. Cathal Gurrin, ADAPT Deputy Director and Professor of Computing in Dublin City University, and Alice Dajung Jung, DCU ADAPT, visited KISTI’s headquarters in Daejeon this month to explore possibilities for cooperation across various fields of science and technology.

The visit enabled both organisations to present their latest research initiatives and identify opportunities for joint work across multiple scientific and technological fields. Talks also focused on strengthening academic exchange and developing future research collaboration.

KISTI said it aims to build a long-term partnership with DCU and ADAPT, with a focus on advancing innovation through international cooperation.
