The ADAPT Centre for Human Centric AI was delighted to collaborate with Dogpatch Labs to host the February 2023 Machine Learning Dublin meetup. More than 80 researchers, practitioners and engineers gathered in Dogpatch Labs city centre facilities at CHQ Dublin to hear from ADAPT Director Professor Dave Lewis talk about how to prepare for the AI Act.
Professor Lewis was joined by TCD and ADAPT Research Fellow, Dr Sebastian Le Maguer, who spoke about ethical issues of synthetic speech, illustrating these issues with references to his work and knowledge of speech synthesis.
