Is mór an chúis atháis dúinn cuireadh a chur chugat chuig seoladh Stáisiúin Athseachadta Náisiúnta na hÉireann (SAN) ar an 8ú lá de mhí Bealtaine sa Tribeton, Bóthar an Cheannaí, Cathair na Gaillimhe.

Bunaíodh an SAN mar uirlis don tionscadal European Language Resource Infrastructure (ELRI), tionscadal atá maoinithe ag an Aontas Eorapach faoin gclár Connecting Europe Facility (CEF), chun áis lárnach náisiúnta a chur ar fáil ar féidir leis data aistrithe (cáipéisí dátheangacha, téarmaíochtaí 7rl.) a bhailiú agus a roinnt le hinstitiúdí poiblí.

Is í aidhm an tionscadail costas náisiúnta an aistriúcháin a laghdú agus tacú le forbairt teicneolaíocht na Gaeilge. Ar an lá fhéin, beidh muid ag diriú ar réimse ábhar tráthúil, mar atá: úsáid na Gaeilge sa riaracháin poiblí, teicneolaíocht na Gaeilge, agus an Stráitéis Dhigiteach Náisiúnta, chomh maith le ceardlann practiciúil ar úsáid SAN féin. Beidh lón ar fáil, agus críochnófar an seoladh le seisiún gréasánaíochta agus fáiltiú fíona.

We are delighted to invite Irish Language data holders working in public administration to the launch of the Irish National Relay Station (NRS) on the 8th of May in Tribeton, Merchants Road, Galway.

The NRS was established via the EU-funded European Language Resource Infrastructure (ELRI) project, under the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) programme, to provide a central national online facility where translation data (bilingual files, terminologies, etc.) can be collected and shared among public institutions.

The project’s aim is to reduce national translation costs and to support the development of translation technology for the Irish language. The launch will focus on a range of topics, including the use of Irish in public administration, Irish Language Technology, and the National Digital Strategy, as well as featuring a practical walkthrough of the NRS itself. Lunch will be available, and the launch will close with a networking and wine reception.
