May ML Dublin Meetup Features Speakers from ADAPT & Lua Health

The ADAPT Centre May Machine Learning Meetup was held at Dogpatch Labs on Monday, May 27th, hosted by Woebot Health. The event featured three speakers who explored various Machine Learning (ML) topics:

  • Mihael Arcan, co-founder of Lua Health, discussed the intersection of AI and mental health, showcasing Lua Health’s innovative efforts to enhance workplace well-being.
  • Gavin O’Duffy, a product development leader with over 20 years of experience, shared insights on launching AI products with a focus on trust.
  • Filip Klubička, a researcher at the ADAPT Centre, presented his collaborative work with Huawei Ireland on developing natural language to SQL translation solutions.

Joe Gallagher, CPO at Woebot Health, kicked off the event by sharing his experiences from launching Woebot Health. The evening concluded with networking, providing attendees the opportunity to connect with professionals and students in the ML community.

The Machine Learning Meetups are held on the last Monday of each month and are open to anyone interested in ML. These meetups feature presentations by guest speakers and offer a valuable networking opportunity for researchers, engineers, and enthusiasts from both industry and academia.
