International Women's Day 2023 at ADAPT

This year, to celebrate International Women’s Day which falls on Wednesday March 8th, the ADAPT Centre is running a campaign titled ‘Innovating Women’.  The aim is to focus on the role women play in the development of innovative technologies, many of which are changing the way we live, interact and work.  During the week we will share stories from ADAPT researchers who are driving innovation.

In addition, on Tuesday 7th March between 2-3pm, ADAPT will host an Inclusive Language Training workshop with Lorna Greene, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Coordinator at DCU.  The workshop will explore the importance of inclusive language in supporting dignity and respect for all and its role in helping to create inclusive learning and work environments. The workshop will consider the ways that language can impact feelings of belonging and what we can all do to help foster healthy and open dialogue. There will be an opportunity for participants to ask questions and to explore queries related to inclusive language in a safe, non-judgmental space.   Register here.

International Women’s Day will fall on Wednesday 8th March.  This year the wider campaign theme is #EmbraceEquity. #IWD2023
