#GiveToGain: ADAPT Marks International Women’s Day 2026

09 March 2026

Observed annually on the 8th March, International Women’s Day recognises the achievements of women worldwide while highlighting the ongoing work required to achieve true equity. This year’s theme, Give To Gain, centres on the power of reciprocity. The message is clear: when individuals and organisations actively invest in women, through mentorship, advocacy, education, funding, visibility, or time, the impact multiplies. Supporting women’s advancement strengthens teams, drives innovation, and builds more resilient institutions.

Throughout the week, ADAPT will spotlight some of our fantastic researchers across the centre, underscoring the diversity of expertise and experience that shapes our work. The initiative reflects our belief that inclusion is not a one-day focus but an ongoing priority.

ADAPT Director Professor John Kelleher reinforced that commitment, stating:

“At ADAPT, we are focused on building a culture where talent is recognised, voices are heard, and opportunity is shared equitably. When we actively support and elevate women across our centre, we strengthen our research, sharpen our innovation, and position ourselves to lead with impact in a rapidly evolving global landscape.”
