Emerging Multidisciplinary Computing Visions: Early-Stage Researchers Shaping Shared Futures


An upcoming interactive workshop at CPDP, which brings together early-stage researchers (ESRs) and experts from academia, industry, civil society, and policymaking for in-depth discussions on research, policy and real-world challenges and opportunities in the area of AI and data governance.

  • Digital Omnibus and consistency of EU digital regulatory frameworks
  • Implications of AI regulation for the European economy 
  • Global challenges and opportunities in general-purpose AI systems 
  • Future of AI policymaking: Evidence-based, participatory, and cross-sector approaches 
  • Regulatory technology (RegTech) solutions for compliance with AI and data regulations
  • Cross-border data flows and data sovereignty
  • AI auditing, oversight, and journalism
  • Implementation and enforcement challenges of AI and data regulation
  • Multi-level AI governance and the protection of fundamental rights.

This is an in-person event, and attendance requires registration for the CPDP conference, taking place from 19 to 22 May 2026 in Brussels.
