Dublin City Council (DCC) has been recognised at the recent Geospatial World Excellence Awards, receiving the Excellence in Architecture, Engineering and Construction Award for its Dublin Digital Twin Ecosystem.
The award acknowledges the impact of the initiative, which combines advanced 3D modelling with real-time data to support planning, design and infrastructure management across the city.
By integrating geospatial intelligence with digital simulation, the Dublin Digital Twin Ecosystem enables more informed decision-making, supports sustainability goals and enhances urban resilience.
DCC credited the achievement to the collaborative efforts of staff and project partners who contributed to the development and delivery of the initiative. ADAPT and DCC have been collaborating on a smart city digital twin project since December 2022.
