DigiAcademy, an innovative start-up supported by the ADAPT Centre at Trinity College Dublin and led by Dr. Esther Murphy (TCD School of Education and ADAPT), has been named a finalist in the Social Impact & Digital Divide Award category at the Diversity Inclusion Tech Awards 2026. This achievement recognises the project’s work in advancing digital inclusion and accessible learning opportunities across Ireland.
This award celebrates organisations that leverage their resources, tech platforms, or skills to reduce digital divides, remove regional barriers, and actively expand community access to future-facing opportunities. DigiAcademy joins six other finalists from across the technology sector, including Black Girls in Tech Ireland, EPAM Systems, ESB, Liberty IT, Sky Media Ireland, and Sogeti.
The nomination acknowledges DigiAcademy’s commitment to transforming digital education through inclusive programmes that help people of all backgrounds develop the skills and confidence needed to participate in an increasingly digital society.
Being selected as a finalist highlights the growing importance of collaborative efforts between education, industry, and community organisations to address digital inequality and ensure that technological advances benefit everyone.
The winner of the Social Impact & Digital Divide Award will be announced on the 17th September 2026 at The Gibson Hotel in Dublin.
