Professor Deirdre Ahern, recently appointed Chair of the Company Law Review Group, will participate in the Corporate Enforcement Authority’s 2026 Conference, taking place at The Convention Centre Dublin on the 11th September.
A leading expert in company law and corporate governance, Professor Ahern also serves as a member of Ireland’s National Science Advice Forum and the Government’s AI Advisory Council, bringing a broad perspective on the intersection of law, technology and public policy. She also recently was appointed to the Board of Ireland’s AI Office, AI Office of Ireland, by Minister Peter Burke of Department of Enterprise, Tourism and Employment.
The 2026 Conference will commemorate the 25th anniversary of the enactment of the Company Law Enforcement Act 2001 (CLEA), a landmark piece of legislation that transformed the Irish company law landscape. The Act established, for the first time, a dedicated framework for the enforcement of company law, marking a significant milestone in strengthening corporate accountability and regulatory oversight in Ireland. The event is expected to bring together legal practitioners, academics, regulators, policymakers and business leaders to discuss emerging challenges and opportunities in corporate regulation.
