Debating Europe’s Digital Future on the Eve of Ireland’s EU Presidency

On the eve of Ireland assuming the Presidency of the Council of the European Union, Trinity College Dublin will launch its new Centre for Digital Security and Societal Resilience, a national platform for research-led solutions, public dialogue and European engagement on the issues shaping our digital future.

Bringing together interdisciplinary expertise across digital security, AI accountability, democratic resilience, data governance, law, policy, infrastructure and society, the Centre is uniquely positioned in Ireland to convene the conversations that matter and to help translate them into practical, trusted and resilient solutions.

At this pivotal European moment, Trinity will provide a space where researchers, policymakers, industry, civil society and the public can work together to strengthen the foundations of secure and democratic digital societies.

We are honoured to have the Cypriot Ambassador to Ireland, Ambassador Louis Telemachou, reflect on the priorities of Cyprus’ EU Presidency.  Dr Anna Koukkides-Procopiou, Former Minister of Justice and Public Order, Republic of Cyprus, and Peace Fellow, Jackson School of Global Affairs, at Yale University, will deliver a keynote address on the interplay of democracy, security and technology in a changing world.
