AIMapIt, an SFI ADAPT Centre spinout company that uses an innovative AI solution for discovery, detection and GPS mapping of stationary objects has been shortlisted for Spark’s 100 Most Ambitious Companies in Ireland award. The Top 100 seeks to uncover those Irish companies who have the strongest desire and determination to succeed and have already demonstrated their capabilities and intentions in this regard. This year’s programme attracted almost 200 nominations from throughout every county in Ireland.
The judges trimmed these nominations down to 100 finalists, over many hours of debate and AIMapIT has made the shortlist. The awards will be announced on the 19th December.
Speaking about the shortlisted candidates, Spark Crowdfunding CEO Chris Burge, said: “We will follow their progress with interest and would like to sincerely thank them and the hundreds of other highly promising early-stage companies in Ireland for their bravery and contribution to the Irish economy – they are what makes this country so great.”
Spark Crowdfunding is a Dublin-based equity crowdfunding company. Early-stage companies looking for new venture funding have been able to access more funds from the crowd than in ordinary economic circumstances. Spark Crowdfunding noted that companies classed by Enterprise Ireland as high-potential start-ups did particularly well on the platform.
