ADAPT & TU Dublin Researcher Showcases Inclusive Tech Projects at International Event in Vilnius

11 April 2025

Dr. Dympna O’Sullivan, an academic with ADAPT at Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin), was recently invited to speak at the PAARNET Training School and International Knowledge Exchange Events hosted at Mykolas Romeris University in Vilnius, Lithuania.

At the event, O’Sullivan shared progress on two Research Ireland funded projects, CODESIGN for Dementia and Age-Friendly AI, along with the Inclusion4EU project under Horizon Europe. Her presentation underscored the value of involving a wide range of stakeholders, particularly those with lived experience, in the creation of accessible technologies for older adults.

She was joined by colleagues Fatima Badmos and Peterson Jean from the Research Ireland Centre for Research Training in Digitally-Enhanced Reality (d-real) based at TU Dublin, who highlighted participatory approaches to technology co-creation with older adults. TU Dublin’s Digital Futures Research Hub continues to play a leading role in Ireland in advancing research in digital inclusion, accessibility, AI, and assistive technology.
