ADAPT TU Dublin Researcher Award for Dementia Study at BEAI 2025

Dr. Harish Kambampati, a researcher with ADAPT at TU Dublin, presented his latest dementia research at the 2025 Biomedical and Clinical Engineering Association of Ireland (BEAI) conference, held on September 25th to 26th at Limerick Racecourse.

His talk, “Smart Remote Monitoring for People Living with Dementia: Enhancing Quality of Life through AI-Driven Voice Systems and Off-the-Shelf Sensors,” focused on how artificial intelligence and affordable sensor technologies can support independent living and improve individual outcomes. 

Dr. Kambampati’s presentation earned him the award for Best Submitted Abstract for Oral Presentation, marking a significant recognition of his contribution to the field.

This year’s BEI conference theme, Clinical Engineers: Agents of Transformation highlighted the critical role of clinical engineers in shaping the future of healthcare.
