2023 was an exciting year for ADAPT spin out ai mapit. Not only did it secure the New Frontiers Award at the Irish Times Innovation Awards, it also finalised two significant partnerships: a Solution Provider agreement with TomTom, one of the best known brands in navigation technology and with that access to a global repository of roadside imagery; and access to ESRI’s Partner Network comprising the top Enterprise mapping companies in the world.

Achieving another significant accolade, the company was listed as one of the Top 100 Most Ambitious Companies in Ireland for 2024 by Spark Crowdfunding.

The company stands as a cutting-edge computer vision platform designed to enable Operators of Roadside Infrastructure to carry out automated desktop surveys of their vast networks of assets and improve their network management operations efficiency and lower their carbon footprint in doing so. The system is capable of recognising and assigning precise GPS coordinates to any asset in street-level imagery allowing condition monitoring to be carried out automatically over time. Operating at an impressive speed of 200 km per hour, the technology has been proven to achieve asset detection with 95% recall and GPS grade location accuracy from standard imagery.

Driving this spinout venture are key individuals, including CEO Julie Connelly, CTO Matej Ulicny, and commercial advisor Leo Peyton.
