ADAPT-DCU’s Laura Grehan Featured on Dublin Tech Summit Panel on AI & the Future of Work

04 June 2026

ADAPT’s Head of Education, Engagement and Societal Impact, Laura Grehan, was recently featured on a Dublin Tech Summit panel titled ‘AI at Work: Tool, Threat, or Teammate?’, which examined how employees and organisations are adapting to AI in the workplace. Laura joined panelists Claire Hickie (Workday) and Ken Finnegan (Skillnet Ireland) in the discussion chaired by Neil Leyden (RTÉ)

During the discussion, Laura drew on insights from ADAPT’s national #DiscussAI initiative, which is engaging diverse audiences across Ireland in conversations about the societal impact of AI. She noted increasing interest across generations, from young people to older adults, in understanding how AI is reshaping work, skills and career pathways.

She also highlighted the ADAPT “AI in My Life” programme for teenagers, which includes modules on AI and the Future of Work and AI Careers. The resources are currently being updated to reflect the rapid pace of change in the field, with a view to expanding their reach and raising broader awareness of AI across society.
