Ekaterina Uetova, a d-real PhD student at Technological University Dublin and member of the ADAPT Centre, has been named one of the Sunday Business Post’s prestigious “30 Under 30” for her pioneering research into the use of large language models (LLMs) to improve engagement in online peer support groups.
Her work, which investigates how cutting-edge AI can facilitate more meaningful digital interactions, is being presented this week at the internationally renowned ACM CHI Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems in Japan.
Ekaterina’s research is supported by the Research Ireland Centre for Research Training in Digitally-Enhanced Reality (d-real) and is co-supervised by Dr. Dympna O’Sullivan (TU Dublin), Dr. Robert Ross (TU Dublin) and Dr. Lucy Hederman (Trinity College Dublin). She has also completed competitive research placements at Stanford University, UC Irvine, and the University of Zurich.
