To mark International Women’s Day 2026, ADAPT is highlighting researchers whose work reflects the year’s “Give to Gain” theme in action.
Working across interdisciplinary environments, ADAPT researcher at University College Dublin and Smart City Digital Twin Lead, Dr Mani Dhingra, credits mentors, colleagues, and collaborators who have encouraged her to adopt an innovative mindset and turn her research from theoretical ideas to practical solutions for sustainable and resilient urban futures.
Now, she is paying that support forward by fostering collaborative spaces where researchers, city officials, and young professionals can work together. A strong advocate for inclusion, she encourages women and underrepresented voices to play a central role in shaping ethical, people-focused digital futures for all.
