Yesterday, AI², together with the ADAPT Centre and Insight Research Ireland Centre for Data Analytics, hosted an event at the new Trinity Innovation Hub at Trinity College Dublin exploring how workers and organisations can remain resilient as artificial intelligence reshapes the workplace.
The event moved beyond traditional upskilling conversations, focusing instead on long-term career sustainability and how individuals can continue to succeed as roles evolve alongside AI. Bringing together researchers, education providers, skills organisations and industry leaders, discussions centred on building a society where people engage with AI as active users, critical thinkers and creative collaborators.
Keynote speakers included Professor Vincent Wade (Trinity College Dublin, Former ADAPT Director), John Durkan (IDA Ireland), and Professor Na Fu (Trinity Business School), who highlighted the importance of combining technical AI literacy with human strengths such as creativity, empathy and critical thinking.
The programme also featured lightning talks from organisations including SOLAS, Learnovate Centre and ICT Skillnet, contributing to a multidisciplinary discussion on creating a productive, inclusive and sustainable future of work in the age of AI.
