The team behind the Age-Friendly AI: Ireland’s National Artificial Intelligence Literacy Initiative for Older Adults will have a stand at the 50 Plus Show in Dublin, taking place on 12 – 13th March at the RDS, Dublin.

The Age-Friendly AI Literacy Initiative is a two-year project dedicated to making Artificial Intelligence (AI) accessible and relevant for older adults. Based on the topics raised during discussion workshops across Ireland throughout 2025, where older people discussed the role AI is playing in their daily lives, Age-Friendly AI is now rolling out a co-created training programme with and for older people.

The Senior Times 50 Plus Show is a series of regional events aimed specifically at older people. Taking place in locations nationwide, it provides a platform for community engagement and for our project it facilitates direct interaction between the public and the Age-Friendly AI literacy project

If you are planning to attend the 50 Plus Show, there is a lot planned over the two days:

  • Meet the Age-Friendly AI team at stand number 3 at the RDS and have a chat about the project, potential partnerships and our upcoming information sessions for trainers / educators.
  • Get hands on with AI – we will have a number of interactive AI exhibits, to spark conversations around the implications of AI in our lives, including an AI Radio “Spirit of Radio” and the “Art or AI?” pop-up exhibition.
  • The Age-Friendly AI project lead, Paula Kelly will do an introductory talk on AI and its impact on older adults on both days at 10.30 am in room 2.
  • Age-Friendly AI Training Workshops will take place over the course of the two days but as spaces are limited for these, we invite you to sign up here:
