Sinead is a registered nurse, with a specialist interest in health informatics and holds a BA, BSc, MScHI and PhD. Her PhD research surrounds understanding to what extent serious games could be used by nurses as knowledge management tools. In addition to a role as a research assistant in the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Sinead is a post-doctoral researcher in Interdisciplinary (Healthcare) Information Modelling on the Precision ALS project. Sinead is a coordinator for the Digital health (understanding the application of technology in modern healthcare) micro-credential. Undergraduate teaching responsibilities include Computers and Society, Research and Innovation. Research interests include design science, information modelling, informatics, and processes around user requirements.
