Rob’s main research interests are data protection, data value, data quality, semantics, data governance and AI governance. Rob is an Assistant Professor in the School of Computing, Dublin City University and Chair of the DCU MA in Data Protection and Privacy Law. As a Funded investigator in ADAPT, Rob works in the Transparent Digital Governance research strand. He is coordinator of the H2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie project ELITE-S on ICT standards. He is PI/co-PI on the ADAPT-Ordnance Survey Ireland project publishing Ireland’s reference geospatial data as Linked Data on the web and the ARK (Access Risk Knowledge) project with the TCD Centre for Innovative Human Systems and St James’s Hospital Dublin.
