Patrick McDonagh was awarded his PhD in History from Trinity College Dublin 2023 on the transnational lordship of the Mortimer earls of March and Ulster in the late fourteenth century. His research interests include the configuration of power and lordship in late medieval Ireland and Britain, medieval archival memory, and the histories of manuscripts. He will be working as part of the Virtual Record Treasury of Ireland team on the medieval Irish chancery rolls.
