Dr. Muhammad Salman is an Assistant Professor at the School of Computing, Dublin City University (DCU). His research focuses on Artificial Intelligence, Healthcare Data, telecommunications and Sustainability.
He completed a PhD in Software Engineering in 2019 from Beijing University of Technology, China, where he was the recipient of a fully funded four-year China Scholarship Council (CSC) scholarship. In 2020, he was awarded the prestigious Marie Sklodowska-Curie COFUND Action fellowship and joined University College Dublin (UCD) as a Research Scientist. From May 2022 to June 2024, Dr. Salman served as a Senior Postdoctoral Researcher and Team Lead on the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) funded project, Circular Artificial Intelligence (CircAI), at the Department of Computer Science, Maynooth University.
Dr. Salman has authored over 40 peer-reviewed publications in top-tier journals and has and international conferences having more than 850 citations. Dr. Salman is also an active reviewer for several esteemed journals including IEEE Access, IEEE Transactions on Green Communications and Networking and International Journal of Communication Systems (Wiley). In addition, he serves as an Editorial Board Member for the International Journal of Communication Systems (Wiley) and has been a Guest Editor for special issues in: Computers, Materials & Continua, Electronics (MDPI) and Journal of Engineering Research and Sciences (JENRS).
