Mohammed Al-Rawi is a research fellow at Trinity College Dublin and is also affiliated with the ADAPT Research Centre. His primary research interest is applying AI to the fashion industry. He is an expert in artificial intelligence who has extensive experience in computer vision, natural language processing and machine learning. He has developed deep learning models for multitasking across multiple domains using text, vision, and speech data and has used Generative Adversarial Networks to extract text from images. He has published more than 70 research papers in the fields of computer vision and image processing. His Research Fellowship with ADAPT focuses on analysing fashion data using color, shape, and textual attributes. His ultimate goal is to demonstrate the benefits of standardising fashion descriptions and attributes by building a recommender system for fashion articles using deep learning, NLP and machine learning algorithms.
