Matt is a PhD student under the supervision of Declan O’ Sullivan. Matt has research interests in knowledge graphs and machine learning for international development, with his primary interest being applying these approaches to data from evidence-based evaluations in international development. Matt graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 2017 with a BA in Philosophy, Politics, Economics and Sociology, from the University of Oxford in 2019 with an MSc. in Economics for Development and from Trinity College Dublin in 2021 with an MSc. in Computer Science (Intelligent Systems). Between university education, Matt worked for two years at the Rwandan National Institute for Statistics in Kigali setting up the institute’s first dedicated data science team.
