Maryam is a computer science PhD student at Dublin City University. Her research title is “Automatic Transparency Evaluation for Open Knowledge Extraction Systems”, which involves semantic web technologies, knowledge graphs, AI and data Governance (transparency and accountability), and text information extraction and analysis. She is working under the supervision of Dr Rob Brennan and Prof Gareth Jones. Her background is in NLP, more specifically text information extraction. Her PhD is funded by Science Foundation Ireland Centre for Research Training in Digitally-Enhanced Reality (d-real).
