Joris joined CNGL in 2011 and started the Design & Innovation Lab (dLab) in 2013 with a focus on design and web development. In 2015 with the start of ADAPT and the arrival of Declan McKibben the dLab got wings and established itself as an integral and instrumental asset of the research centre. Joris acts as Scrum master and mentor of the research engineers. His main interest lies with the frontend of applications and User Centred Design and Design Thinking. In the past decade Joris has worked on projects with nearly every industrial partner of the centre. He is also involved with guiding early stage startups. In 2018 Joris obtained a Masters Degree in Design Innovation from Maynooth University.
