Jonathan Turner is currently working with the Precision ALS research project team as a Research Fellow working on information modelling, joining from Technological University Dublin where he worked on the Smart Self Care for Dementia project. Previously he was Visiting Lecturer in Health Informatics at City, University of London. He was awarded a PhD in Health Informatics by City in 2019 for work applying machine learning methods to longitudinal health records for predicting likelihoods of future health events for individuals. Jonathan spent a number of years in the NHS in the UK as a medical physicist and systems analyst, working in diagnostic imaging and PACS, hospital information systems management, and device evaluation. He worked on the Norwegian contribution to the pan-European EPI-CT project, to quantify cancer risks from CT examinations of children and young adults. Jonathan is a Fellow of the Faculty of Clinical Informatics, a Member of the Institute of Physics and a Member of the Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine.
