Anirban Chakraborty is a PhD student in the School of Computer Science & Statistics at Trinity College Dublin. He started his PhD under the supervision of Prof. Séamus (Shay) Lawless. Currently he is being supervised by Prof. Owen Conlan. His research interests include Information Retrieval (specifically, retrieval models, relevance feedback, and word/context embedding), Personalized Information Retrieval, Contextual Recommendation, and Information Retrieval from noisy texts. His PhD thesis, broadly speaking, is about exploring information retrieval based approaches for contextual recommendation, with a particular focus to improve precision at top ranks.
