Amit Ravindra Hirway is a researcher in the area of Software Engineering, supervised by Dr Niall Murray and Dr Yuansong Qiao. He received his MSc in Distributed Systems in 2003 and thereafter worked in the IT and Telecom industry for around 15 years. Currently, he is based in the Technological University of the Shannon: Midlands Midwest, Ireland and is funded by the AIT President’s Seed Fund and the ADAPT Centre. His research focus is Quality of Experience of(QoE) of immersive multimedia applications. His research is about evaluating users visual attention and QoE when watching 360-degree video with spatial audio (ambisonics) using a VR headset.
