ADAPT Centre Celebrates Innovation and Collaboration at Fifth Annual Scientific Conference

15 May 2026

On May 14th 2026, the ADAPT Centre hosted its fifth Annual Scientific Conference in the Helix in DCU, bringing together 180 members of the ADAPT community to celebrate ongoing research, share recent publications, and foster future collaborations beyond the lifetime of the centre. This internal conference has been a key fixture in ADAPT’s calendar over the last five years, providing a unique opportunity for researchers to connect, exchange ideas, and showcase the innovative work shaping the future of artificial intelligence.

Yesterday’s conference featured twelve engaging presentations, forty posters, three demonstrations, a keynote from Prof Virginia Dignum, Director of the AI Policy Lab at Umea University, and a display of books published by ADAPT Academics.

Congratulations to all the presenters, but in particular our award winners:

  • Best Overall Contribution –  Kanishk Verma (DCU)
  • Best Student Contributions – Minh-Khoi Pham (DCU) & Angel Mary George (TCD)
  • Best Poster – Riju Das (UCD)
