Keren Artiaga is a PhD researcher at the ADAPT Research Centre at Munster Technological University in Cork, working on sign language machine translation using deep learning. Her research focuses on developing multimodal vision–language models that translate sign language videos into spoken language text, aiming to improve accessibility technologies for Deaf and hard-of-hearing communities. Her research interests include sign language translation, multimodal machine learning, computer vision for sign language understanding, and deep learning approaches for low-resource language technologies.
