The sixth John McCarthy Summer School: AI for Finance took place on 18th and 19th September, convening leaders from academia, industry, and government to explore how artificial intelligence is transforming the financial sector. Over two intensive days, discussions focused on three central themes: trustworthy AI, agentic AI, and bridging the adoption gap.
Hosted by RDI Hub, a national centre for design-led digital innovation based in Ireland’s South West, the event reaffirmed its position as a leading forum for advancing responsible and effective AI adoption in financial services. Recordings of the sessions are available on the RDI Hub YouTube channel.
Louise McCormack of the ADAPT Centre delivered a presentation titled “Trustworthy AI Governance and the EU AI Act for Credit Risk Evaluation Models.” She will also speak at the upcoming Analytics & AI Summit at the Convention Centre Dublin on Thursday, 9 October, in a session titled “Shaping the Future of Responsible AI.”
