Creating Tomorrow's World - Human Computer Interaction webinar

Creating Tomorrow’s World is a new monthly ADAPT run webinar series focused on how organisations can introduce AI driven digital technology and thinking into the core of their business.

The monthly series focuses on the views and experiences of professionals and leading researchers responsible for innovation and technology creation and uptake. It will give an inside perspective on pioneering projects and showcase advances in areas such as data governance, healthcare, virtual reality, robotics, natural language processing and financial services.

The next webinar will focus on Human Computer Interaction.

We are delighted that Dr Benjamin Cowan, Associate Professor at UCD’s School of Information & Communication Studies and Co-Principal Investigator in the SFI funded ADAPT Centre, will join us for this event. Ben’s research lies at the juncture between psychology, human-computer interaction and communication systems in investigating how design impacts aspects of user behaviour in social, collaborative and communicative technology interactions.  Professor Cowan is the co-founder and co-director of the HCI@UCD group, one of the largest HCI groups in Ireland.

Alan Coleman, is co-founder and CEO of Sweepr, a platform marketed to businesses to assist them to provide personalised customer care. Sweepr continues Alan’s journey of transforming customer experiences that he began with his first successful business Brite:Bill.  Alan drives Sweepr’s vision for re-thinking how customers experience support in a more complex and connected world. Prior to Brite:Bill Alan had roles in Accenture, Macalla Software and Morgan Stanley.

One additional speaker will be announced shortly.  The event will take place on November 3rd at 10am.
