Professor Vinny Wade, Director of the ADAPT Centre and holds the Professorial Chair of Computer Science (Est. 1990) in School of Computer Science and Statistics, Trinity College lin as well as a Personal Chair in Artificial Intelligence. His research focuses on intelligent systems, AI and Personalisation.
Professor Owen Conlan, co-applicant, co-PI and leader of the Digitally Enhanced Engagement research strand. Owen’s research focuses on empowering users in understanding and interacting with complex information and media.
Professor John Kelleher, TU Dublin lead in ADAPT and the scientific lead for the Digital Content Transformation research strand. His core research expertise is in the areas machine/deep learning and natural language processing.
Professor Dave Lewis, Associate Professor at the School of Computer Science and Statistics at Trinity College Dublin and the head of its Artificial Intelligence Discipline. He is also Deputy Director of ADAPT and his research focuses on the use of open semantic models to manage the Data Protection and Data Ethics issues associated with digital content processing.
Professor Lucy Hederman, lecturer at Trinity’s School of Computer Science and Statistics and is a Funded Investigator with ADAPT. Her main research interests are in clinical decision support systems, patient generated health data (PGHD), and in clinical research data infrastructure. Lucy will talk to us today about ADAPT’s research on health research data interoperability and governance.
Professor Ray Walshe, researcher and lecturer in the Faculty of Engineering and Computing in Dublin City University (DCU) and is one of Ireland’s foremost experts in AI standards and data science.
Dr Robert Ross, Senior Lecturer at Technological University Dublin where he teaches masters level courses on Deep Learning and leads the Applied Intelligence Research Centre. Robert’s primary research interest is in Situated Intelligent Systems and their applications across domains from eldercare to financial technology.
Dr. Aphra Kerr is a Professor at the Department of Sociology at Maynooth University and a Co-PI at the ADAPT Centre for Digital Media Technology. She is the scientific lead of the Transparent Digital Governance strand.
Declan McKibben, Executive Director for Commercialisation and lead for ADAPT’s partnerships with industry.
Prof. Jennifer Edmond, Associate Professor in the School of Languages, Literatures and Cultural Studies and ADAPT research collaborator, her research interest includes the impact of technology on the humanities.
