Keith’s research interests are Opinion Mining, Natural Language Processing, Language Technologies, Social Media and Social Semantic Web. He is currently reading a part-time doctoral degree on Social Opinion Mining, at ADAPT, DCU. As a full-time professional, Keith works at the Malta Information Technology Agency where he is responsible for Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Big Data projects from both a strategy and technical implementation level and has been involved in AI initiatives at a national level, such as the Strategy and Vision for Artificial Intelligence in Malta. He has over 10 years’ experience in the ICT domain and has worked in both academia and industry on numerous fields ranging from social semantic web, language technology, FinTech, robotics and government. In Ireland, he has worked with NUI Galway, IBM Ireland on the IBM Watson project, and at INSIGHT at NUI Galway (former DERI). Lastly, he is also a member of the ICT sub-committee of the National Council for the Maltese Language.
