Context

Adding Personality Features to Open-Domain Dialog: The research will involve improving state-of-the-art in open-domain dialogue systems by increasing the capability of chatbots to communicate in a more human-like manner by introducing human personality features. The work will enable a chatbot to have realistic personas with personality traits, likes and dislikes, similar to those of a human chat partner. Implementing personalities in chatbots will enable the chatbot to participate in open domain dialogues with human partners in an entertaining, coherent and more personable way than previously possible. The work will involve application of reinforcement learning to this challenging problem as well as development of new evaluation methods to accurately measure personality traits.

Minimum qualifications

  • Primary Degree in Computer Science or aligned field

Preferred qualifications

  • Excellent programming skills,
  • Excellent communication skills,
  • Interest and/or experience in deep learning
