Discover how Irish Famine Emigrants are being traced in North America through cutting edge digital technology and online storytelling. The Famine Irish Archiving and Digital Storytelling event brings together an interdisciplinary team of authors, computer scientists, historians, and archivists who are tracking the settlement patterns of Strokestown’s missing 1,490 Famine emigrants to North America and creating a digital app to allow users to follow in their footsteps. Featuring National Famine Museum and Irish Heritage Trust Director Caroilin Callery, Strokestown Park Archivist Martin Fagan, and digital storytellers Professor Owen Conlan and Nicole Basaraba from the ADAPT Centre at Trinity College Dublin.
